Inception (A-), Book of Eli (C+)

Inception (A-): More visually impressive for it's limited CG use then possessing a mind-blowing plot, in no small part due to the excessive buzz prior to seeing the movie. All-in-all an excellent movie in need of a better ending. Minor points deducted for not having subtitles for Ken Wantabe.

Book of Eli (C+): Aesthetically a cross between Mas Max and Kung-Fu(the Tv series) both of which I'm a fan. For a movie that had a chance, given the premise, to develop it's main character it failed miserably in that respect. The plot is basic and doesn't branch out at all with the ending being obvious at the half-way point. Action scenes are good, if not great and one of the things the movie does well.
