So I count five wide or wide-ish releases that won't even make $2 million this weekend and that's including MMM previews
At least three of them were MMMs... and none of them will average more than 2k per theater in 645 to 1,670 theaters... and yet, everyone is saying that movies should have longer theatrical windows. Nope. If a movie makes less than $2 million, it should get one more week in theaters and then be available on VOD and/or streaming. It just makes sense since theaters are gonna dump these movies by next week or the week after anyways.
