That's one of several different things that are given a complete workout here. It's done in a couple of impressive ways.
But it's not limited to that. It's not what I expected, but I was impressed by all of that, and it's persistent throughout the story. There are tons of beats in the story that speak to the way a "story" is told, who tells it, what that can do for the story being told and the audience. Some of it is brilliant; some you've seen many times, but it's all pretty entertaining here.
