First of all - the previous comment under the stock is an extremely broad assumption. There have been several different points of view as to how this movie will go. The idea is not that they will be flying drones - the idea stated on various sites states is that the movie will be about how the fighter drones are either malfunctioning or incapable of battling against whatever the threat may be in the new movie which leads to them bringing back fighter pilots including Tom Cruise as Maverick. Just to clarify - The blog on moviefone (http://blog.moviefone.com/2010/10/26/top-gun-2-tom-cruise/) states that "it turns out that "Supporting Role" simply isn't in the movie star's vocabulary" as well as "There is no 'Top Gun 2' in which Maverick is not the starring role". There you have it people - movie being made, Maverick main character - need I say more?
