I *never* said the movie would delist above adjust... I just thought it might perform differently since it's a different movie.
From the early buzz, it seemed like others were checking it out and a CinemaScore of "A" is nothing to scoff at. The fact that it was released later in the season than any of his other movies i.e. early November rather than early September or October seemed to point to the chances of it sustaining legs but that first 65% drop wasn't a good sign and then Lionsgate/theaters dumping it last week and this just didn't give it a chance. To be perfectly honest, I still think that if the movie had any sort of presence in theaters this weekend that women going to the malls this weekend who see that on the marquee might check it out... but I guess Lionsgate didn't want to take that chance, so **** 'em.
