Did you guys read about the Prophecy of the Popes? I've been reading about it on twitter all day, check it out...

This Saint Malachy guy apparently wrote this big list with latin mottos, each one assigned to each Pope. Well, the list is coming to the end with this next Pope, and the motto is a fun one: "In the extreme persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit. Peter the Roman, who will nourish the sheep in many tribulations; when they are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The end."
So yeah, maybe the mayans were off just by a few years/decades? :)
