There is a major city about an hour away from where I live that gets most of the major movies the day before the US does (unless they have a different release pattern, like Wreck-It Ralph, Skyfall, The Hobbit, etc). The local cinema in the town I live in, which is run by the local council, refuses to pay the upfront percentages to the movie studios because they're cheapskates, and as a result doesn't get any new movies for at least a month after they've been released, quite often longer. There have been cases where they've gotten movies in to show at the cinema the week before they are released on DVD here, and also some cases when the DVD was already released months before.
A lot of the movies get spoiled for me by me being on here, but I'm normally more selective about what movies I watch, anyway. I found that being on here is actually helping me to decide which movies I want to see, either in the cinema when they're released here, or on DVD/TV, because I get a better understanding of what each movie is about before I go to watch it.
