There is no denying that it's a QB league and that's exactly how the NFL want to keep it.
If MIN had a QB with AP they would be contenders every year. The Cowboys were a dominant force with Aikman/Smith back in the day (and there a many other great duos as well). WAS had the advantage of RG3/Morris last year, and each complimented each others game.
Richardson was a slated to go no higher than 6th last year from analysts all over the country. He set the franchise rookie records for TDs, yards and all purpose yards. He fought through injury and played with broken ribs. With only one season to judge his performance thus far I'd say he has a chance for greatness. Being stuck in CLE with no QB or great OLine, he'll have his chance to in Indy to showcase his skills much more. We of course have to work on the OLine, but the QB is there.
I believe in a few weeks Richardson will be making a major impact to our team. He's a phenomenal pass blocker which is something we truly need. Does a stronger passing game with the Colts create more room to rush? Hopefully so and time will tell.
Right now the buzz in Indy is we have another Manning/James duo in the works... we'll see.
As far as the other teams go I mentioned, they all have problems in the run game at the moment and some may have given a first round pick for a chance to bolster up the run game and make a deep run in the playoffs (giving up a late first rounder and gaining a potentially great RB).
Like I said, time will tell with TRich, and for our teams sake I hope that it pays off. We won't really know for 2-3 years barring a career ending injury before then or just injury on top of injury (that seem to plague us every year).
