The songs the I am posting in these posts aren't my personal favorites or the best songs of all time. They are simply the new material I am coming across from time to time that stand out from the rest of the crap I have to wade through. I go through 10 - 20 albums a week (most of them are greatest hits packages). So these songs are the good ones, the really realy bad ones, the weird ones and the ones that I had to repeat listen to figure out just what was going on.
I know you get the current pop releases from the radio/internet so I skip those when making my list.

(2013) Bobby McFerrin - yuck!
(2012) Big & Rich - "Hillbilly Jedi' album - tired (only the 2 tracks ft Cowboy Troy were worth listening)
(2013) Iggy Pop - yikes!
(2013) Dave Koz - has a good elevator music version of Chicago's '25 To 6 Or 4'
