a quick rundown (IPO batch 2)
Minority Report is a sequel to the movie (TV series happens 10 years after the movie) and reports are saying that it has the same look and feel as the movie. It has lots of competiton in its time slot going against 2nd hour of The Voice on NBC; Scorpion on CBS; Jane The Virgin on CW and 2nd hour of Dancing With The Stars on ABC. Historically, FOX is not shy to dump a show right away. They are usually the first network to cancel a show and usually do it within the first couple of episodes. Ratings is key for this one.
Rosewood is a hip freelance medical examiner in Miami that solves murders. It is going up against Arrow, Survivor, The Mysteries Of Laura and The Middle/The Goldbergs. This airs before Empire and FOX is hoping to attract ethnic viewers. FOX is know for dumping shows quickly, but I think this one has a better chance since FOX is trying to build a... um... what can I call it without *somebody* getting upset... a 'diversity' night with this show and Empire. Very likely to get to 13, and ratings will decide if it gets to 22.
Scream Queens is a TV ripoff of the movie Scream 2. There are 25 main characters and each episode one of them dies. The cast is stacked with recognizable names and it has a familiar set up. It has big competition going against The Voice results show; Agents Of Shield; NCIS New Orleans and similar demo iZombie. 13 is a lock since FOX ordered this straight to series (they were pictched the concept of the show and ordered the first batch of episodes bypassing the usually pilot process... same as movie business term 'fastracking') 13 is a lock... people will DVR this and has a very good chance to get to 22
