Perhaps after letting Putin take over Crimea and changing the borders in Ukraine, he thought Syria was just one more country. Perhaps he realized that Russia was behind the violence and decided to help the Russians. Perhaps Obama thought that since he sent 1.7 billion dollars to Iran, that everything would work out. Perhaps former Obama administration National Security Council staffer Barry Pavel was right when he said Monday, "I think [Obama] left a more dangerous world".
