With the understanding that they gave up all those picks (it's a lot I know), they still were able to keep Montrez Harrell, who is an absolute stud, and Mr. Instant Offense Lou Williams, the winner of 3 Sixth Man of the Year Awards. They were also able to hold on to young sharp shooter Landry Shamut. They've already resigned Pat Beverly, who is yet another difference maker. Now that I think of it, I guess they still have Jerome Robinson as well. So they already have most of that previously effective bench.
So they have:
Kawhi
PG
Harrell
Shamut
Beverly
Sweet Lou
Rodney McGruder (they just signed him a few days ago)
Mo Harkless (they just signed him recently as well)
Jerome Robinson
My goodness. They've been stockpiling perfect fitting role players, guys that are quick, strong, can defend, rugged guys.
I hope they can be healthy. This could be a very, very interesting team to watch. They already were BEFORE all this, the beat the Warriors twice in the playoffs, and that was without Danillo Gallinari playing very well in the post season.
But to get both Kawhi and Paul George, that's crazy. But these other moves, they now have superstars and a bunch of other extremely talented players on this team.
Well done.
