When I first joined HSX I thought this was simply a game for fun. Nothing more -- nothing less. But it is sooo not that. I've since learned that this is a serious business venture used to gather information from the public that will be turned in to real dollars and real profit for someone who is not me. But I could care less about that. I simply want to make my fake portfolio bigger by any means available. Period! I don't really care about the movie business and I don't care if the info I use to make money or the tactics I use to make "money" for my portfolio truly reflect the real world value of these securities. So it does not matter to me that I can profit on the daily re-rest or an IPO, or get daily free money for answering questions. The truth is none of those things reflect the true potential value or success of a movie. That stuff has no value to the people at HSX -- but it does to me. Personally, I'm not convinced any of the info here is worth a damn UNTIL a movie actually opens. Any value here on stock before that date is pure hype and market momentum created by players of this game. It has nothing to do with how a movie predictably perform in the real world. Need proof: I like many other players regularly invest in all kinds of movies, TV shows celebrities, and projects I would NEVER spend a penny of my money on in the real world. Bottom-line: the players here have one goal based on information that may or may not be valuable to the real world, while the creators of HSX are interested in REAL action and opinion of movies goers. And unfortunately what happens here on HSX does not necessarily reflect consumers true actions in the market place. (personally, I don't see how it can.) Which is why I say the real world value of a HSX stock is "accurate" or useful in the real world, only AFTER a movie opens. The rest is HSX market/player hype that makes my fake portfolio grow.
