This player does not understand the basic mechanics of the game and needs help understanding them.
Pointing out vague examples of where they can make profit is not helpful when this player does not understand *HOW* profit is made. Bascially, this player needs to be taught how to fish and you are simply giving him some fish. This player *COULD* invest in the starbonds that you pointed out but would not know *WHY* they were investing or *HOW* they would be making a profit.
When helping a player who is lost you need to find out what their problem is, how they got lost, and help them understand how to get back on the path.
When you just throw out random information it makes things more difficult for the lost player.
Example... a person is lost in the forest but you can talk to them on a two way radio. They don't know where they are, they don't know how they got lost. Your response is for them to buy a compass (while they are lost in the forest) and go north... when they do not know how to use a compass.
