The Emmy Award-winning actor established his film career with the 1992 film White Men Can't Jump. With the 1993 follow-up film Indecent Proposal, Harrelson received critical praise for his dramatic turn opposite Demi Moore, and three years later had an Oscar nomination for The People Vs. Larry Flynt. Harrelson has since landed supporting roles in several big movies, including 1997's Wag the Dog and 1998's The Thin Red Line. In between acting gigs, Harrelson uses his celebrity status to help promote various environmental causes.
