The Brazilian documentary Bus 174 covers the highjacking of a bus in Rio de Janiero. During the summer of 2000, a young man held passengers captive as police and television crews zeroed in on the situation. Bus 174 also covers the riots that took place after the police accidentally killed a female passenger. Written and directed by Jose Padilha, the film premiered at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival.
