Description

Adapted from the novel by Glen David Gold, Carter Beats the Devil follows Carter the Great, a brilliant stage magician who performs a stunt involving President Harding. When the President passes away from mysterious causes, Carter finds himself a suspect in the investigation by the FBI. Robert Towne will direct from the adaptation by Michael Arndt.
