Jennifer Connelly is slated to star in a remake of the Japanese thriller Dark Water. Connelly plays a mother who moves into a new apartment with her daughter. The apartment turns out to be haunted by the ghost of the young girl who used to live there. Brazilian director Walter Salles (Behind the Sun) will make his English-language directorial debut.
