Eddie Griffin and Orlando Jones star in this buddy comedy about an investment banker who's wrongly accused of money laundering for a drug cartel. On the run from the law, he unwittingly winds up teaming with an undercover government agent. Double Take is based on a 1957 film Across the Bridge which starred Rod Steiger, Faith Brook and Mark Baker. Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, Money Talks) and Dave Permut will serve as producers on the film. The rest of the cast for Double Take includes Gary Grubbs, Daniel Roebuck, Andrea Navedo, Shawn Elliott, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Briscoe and Edward Herrmann.
Some may recognize Orlando Jones from his 7-Up commercials, but the up-and-coming actor has also appeared in the films Liberty Heights, Bedazzled, and The Replacements. Eddie Griffin's movie resume includes Deuce Bigalow, Male Gigolo and Jason's Lyric. George Gallo, who wrote Midnight Run and directed 29th Street) will serve as writer and director for the film.
