A pregnant Irish teen (Cassidy) travels to England in search of the father of her child and becomes escorted by a mild-mannered psychopath who gently lures Felicia into his trap as he serially befriends needy, solitary girls (Hoskins).
This is Atom Egoyan's first film since the lauded The Sweet Hereafter in 1997.
In Felicia's Journey, Egoyan manages to make a thriller that avoids violent/graphic scenes despite the fact that the film has a character who buries corpses in his garden.
Interestingly enough, this film is produced by Mel Gibson's production company, Icon Productions, which he formed with producer Bruce Davey.
