Based on the once-popular cartoon series, Inspector Gadget chronicles the earliest days of the title character, and follows the bionic crime fighter (Matthew Broderick) as he wages revenge on Claw (Rupert Everett), his long-time archenemies. Complicating matters is a cloned, evil Gadget, who is causing problems all over town. As with the cartoon series, Inspector Gadget will also feature the characters Penny (Michelle Trachtenberg) and Chief Quimbly (Dabney Coleman). The film is directed by David Kellog, whose last feature film was 1991's Cool as Ice.
