Description

The documentary Murderball centers on quadriplegics who play full contact rugby in wheel chairs. They undergo a series of obstacles and challenges to compete in the Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece. The rival Team Canada is run by a former U.S. quad rugby champion. The documentary also details each player’s personal dreams while focusing on the bigger picture. Directed by Henry Alex Rubin and Dana Adam Shapiro, the film won an audience award at 2005 Sundance Film Festival.
