Dustin Hoffman makes his directorial debut with the comedy Quartet. Maggie Smith, Billy Connolly and Michael Gambon star as retired opera singers living in the same retirement home. They go back to perform one more time for the birthday celebration of late 18th Century Italian Romantic composer Guiseppe Verdi. Ronald Harwood adapted the script from his 1999 stage play.
