Toy Story 2 features many of the same characters from the original film, including Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen). In this update, a nefarious toy collector steals Woody while Andy is away at summer camp. Although Woody comes to think of himself as a valued collectible, the rest of the toys must team up to rescue him. Toy Story 2 is the first animated sequel that Disney will release in theaters. On the success of the 1995 film, which grossed an astounding $191 million at the box office, Toy Story 2 may have seemed too lucrative to release straight-to-video. As with the original, 1999's installment features a laundry list of supporting players, including Mr. Potato Head (Don Rickles), Slinky Dog (Jim Varney) and Rex the Dinosaur (Wallace Shawn).
