Lionsgate has unleashed a trailer for the horror sequel Blair Witch, which was previously known as The Woods [WOODS]. The found footage craze began in 1999 with The Blair Witch Project, which utilized a viral marketing campaign to gross more than $140 million. A sequel in title only was produced in 2000 and bombed horribly. Now comes a direct sequel tha follows up the events of the 1999 original. The brother of the character played by Heather Donahue sets out into the woods with his friends to discover what happened to his long-missing sister. Unfortunately, they locate the same mysterious evil and appears to meet the same end. The footage has been found as Blair Witch, which will be released in theaters on September 16th.
