Dev Patel, Armie Hammer, Nazanin Boniadi, Anupam Kher, and Jason Isaacs star in thriller based on the true story of the 2008 siege by terrorists on the Taj Hotel in Mumbai, India. Hotel Mumbai opens wide on March 22nd.
Universal has revealed the official trailer for the comedy Little [LITLE], basically an age and sex reversal of the classic Big. Regina Hall [RHALL] and Marsai Martin star as the adult and young versions of a tech mogul who wakes up as a 13-year-old in her adult surroundings. Issa Rae plays her assistant April who is the only one who knows the secret. Little drops on April 12th.
Reigning for a third weekend in a row with an estimated $30.7 million, Aquaman [AQUMN] has massed $259.7 million. The superhero who can talk to fish has become the highest grossing film worldwide in the DC Extended Universe.
Escape Room [TMAZE] debuted in second place with $18.0 million. Audience for the thriller was evenly split between the sexes and 53% over the age of 25.
Mary Poppins Returns [MPOPN] finished third at $15.8 million, bringing its total to $138.7 million.
A new horror film typically kicks off the first weekend of the new year and 2019 is no exception. However, holdovers will continue to dominate led by Aquaman [AQUMN]. The DC superhero looks to cross $250 million with a third weekend around $27 million.

The top five films from last weekend carried over to the same positions for the final weekend of the year as Aquaman [AQUMN] remained king of the box office with an estimated $51.6 million. The DC Comics superhero slipped 24% in its second weekend to advance its total to $188.6 million.
