I have been to The Reset. I have seen The ReSet. And I am here to tell of The ReSet. Gather and hear . . .
For the first time (that I can recall, at least), and inadvertently, I observed The Reset last night. I was still up at around 2:45 a.m. and decided to risk exposing my eyes to The Reset. So I waited.
At roughly 3:01, the site blinked. For a couple of minutes, the Top Price Movers shell was available but no stocks appeared. My portfolio seemed frozen. Then, at roughly 3:03, The Reset arrived. My portfolio reappeared, with everything zeroed out for the day. Four or five stocks appeared on the Top Price Movers, with advances anywhere from a dime to 50 cents or so. Then a couple of stocks showed declines. A few minutes later, a dozen or so stocks had advanced, a half-dozen had declined, and each list populated steadily.
With one or two exceptions (based on dogma or principle), I bought everything that was up, shorted everything that was down, even by a few cents. By 3:25 or so, I stopped to watch. The advancers continued to advance, the decliners continued to decline. Remarkably small volumes -- as few as a half-dozen trades -- were changing prices by a dollar or more (usually less than a dollar).
When I awoke six hours later, I had blue suitcases throughout the Top Price Movers advancers, white suitcases throughout the decliners. A few hours later, the correlation continues to be remarkably strong.
This observation involves a single episode, but The Reset appears to be as advertised. Unpredictable and inexplicable at the granular level. Profitable and reliable in the aggregate. If you're willing to abandon sleep, The Reset seems to work.
