Query: When trying to figure out future performance of a movie after OW, do you do your calculations of weekdays with an eye towards
lumping the weekday performance with the previous weekend's Box office, or lumping it in with the coming weekend? By this I mean:
Week 1 is OW plus M-Th
Week 2 is 2nd weekend plus following M-Th
Week 3 is 3rd weekend plus following M-Th
Week 4 is 4th weekend only
OR
Week 1 is OW only
Week 2 is first M-Th plus 2nd weekend
Week 3 is 2nd M-Th plus 3rd weekend
Week 4 is 3rd M-Th plus final weekend.
Does it even matter which way you look at it? Does the dropoff percentage from weekend to weekend correlate to the weekday dropoff from week to week in a consistent manner in either version?
