Cashing out Max Short positions and re Shorting @ max
newbie question, if i've got 100,000 shorts @ H$5 and the share drops to $3. is it worthwhile to cash out the entire position, crystalise the gain and re short 100,000 @ H$3? (assuming you think there's more downisde risk to price) ex commission considerations.
the way i see it, you've freed up capital for another position and you don't have as much at risk if the share suddenly moves against you and your profit potential remains the same ie 100,000 units
or what have i missed?
