it can encourage bad decisions at times. For instance, you might be at 4,020,591 for the day and have a stock trading at H$37.25 Perhaps it was an IPO that was IPOed at $35, meaning that you made 225K off of it. If you expect it to drop significantly after reset (perhaps to below the original $35 number), it would be logical to sell it off and avoid the 300K or 400K drop, but doing that at that point would bring you under the 4M number and might cost you that for the day. If you're too obsessed with hitting the round number for the day/month/year, it could cause you to make a mistake. There are a heck of a lot of short term decisions in this game, but at the heart of it I think it's a long term game (trying to make as much money as you can over a long period of time.)
