You did say you wanted to maximise your ROI, right?
Here are some of my observations:
Generally, whenever a trailer is released, it's a good sign that the movie will get a boost. Any movie in development will get boosts from any definite news that indicates that it will actually go into production. On the other hand, bad news indicating a movie might not be made, means a short. Generally the lower the price of the stock, the bigger movement occurs on that stock, even for rumours. But the downside of this is that their gains are not long lived. (i.e. won't last overnight)
Cherry pick the good Star Bonds a couple of days before adjust on Tuesdays and it usually results in very good dROI. I was able to pick up a few good bonds Monday night, which still had a good high single digit dROI. Long term investing in star bonds, is only useful for larger ports.
Just a few of my observations, from a few months of playing this game.
Like Flash says, don't invest in bonds yet, their dROI is usually less than 1%.
