Most movies that open in limited release make very little money overall. If you chose, you could keep these short to maximize
profits. Generally, they IPO'd at 2$ or some other very low number (that's usually a hint as to what kind of release pattern they will have.) Look at the number of theatres and the indie reports either on the forum or on DL. Take note of the per theatre average. Those with decent averages are not (IMHO) worth holding short, but are good to monitor for when they pass their HSX value. Then they could be held long; again, if you chose play them.
Keep in mind that once a stock hits a certain "low value", it doesn't really move much until delist. So you are holding 100K shares for 10+ weeks with no visible gains.
