One other thing that might help you is getting involved in a PVL League. Since you are new.....
this will help you learn some more stuff. In the league you can post messages on the board to ask questions. With your port being small, I would shy away from anything over $100/share because you won't maximize your profits. Start out with bonds as they have good returns for smaller ports. You can use the hsx dude's website for pre-adjust bond show and you can also use elchan's website howprofitable.com and sign up there for free to get bond adjusts. Just helping you out as I know what it's like to have a smaller port and not know what to do. Also playing the weekends can help grow your port too.
