I'm new :) help regarding shorting and cover
Hi! I am new user at HSX and so far so good.
I have so many questions, but this is one it really intrigued me: some days ago a bought short 1000 bonds at 123,25 and then I cover them at 117,46
There are 6 points difference, and i thought i would make $6000 minus the 1% of the two commissions.
But this is what appears on my trade history:

So the question is, how that works? I don't understand.

That's exactly what happened. You pay commission on the price of the stock, not on just the gain. Math inside... Jun 28, 13:39

One thing that you can do is track your % gained on the stock. You know you will be charged 2% total... Jun 28, 14:31
