The prediction I use from boxoffice.com is their weekend prediction, and not their long-range forecast.
I did once do a comparison between their long-range forecast and their weekend predictions, and - no surprise - their weekly predictions came out a lot more accurate than the long-range ones.
So I don't include it, for two reasons. The first is that it's not very accurate. And the second is that I don't want to end up with a large # of predictors that I have to track every week if it doesn't add any value. That's why I don't include a bunch of other predictions - eg Deadline, the Wrap - as they all say the same thing as Variety, THR, etc...
But I am happy to expand the predictors I track - especially if they have a different methodology or make against-the-grain predictions. That's why I put added Moviepilot - for the former, not the latter. So any suggestions are welcome.
