Glossary refers to 4 weeks in release they actually mean 4 weekends - generally 24 days unless the movie releases on a Wednesday.  Prices are driven by demand until opening.  The price rises if more people are buying, drops if they're shorting.  After the opening halt the price is adjusted (Opening weekend box office x 2.7 for a regular weekend), then the stock is released to. again, respond to trading pressures until the Monday after the 4th weekend, when it is delisted (cashed out) at the current box office/1million. 

Limited released do not halt or adjust, and delist after 12 weekends.

 

What are the prices based on? jrroche Feb 24, 12:39

If your example grosses 30m after 4 weeks in wide release, it cashes out at H$30. Till then it's supply and demand. Taffer-Garret Feb 24, 17:11
