one more thing to consider .... i don't know specifics, but my general observation IM is, i believe still valid ...
if you have a mlti-million dollar port .. unless you have almost all of your money invested in something, you are going to be pulling in huge amounts of money on a daily basis just on the daily cash interest the port normally gets. Even with *only*, say, 1 billion dollars, all cash, if i'm doing my math correctly, will pull in a little over 32,000 dollars every single day based on 1.25 percent. over time, as the cash continues to build, this amount will increase slightly. so, yeah, an inactive port, even if it holds no securities at all, will eventually be seen to increase in value ...
