Kruger - calls and puts are based just on the opening weekend, rather than the 4 or 12 weekend box office of a regular stock. HSX sets a
'strike' price (estimated opening box office) for each opening. Assume the strike is set at $20. Cost of the call is $2.00, so the movie must open to at least $22 million for the call to make a profit. Buying the put you're betting the opening will be less than $18 (strike less cost).
