sure, covering is closing out a short position, just as selling is closing a long position ndmaster Aug 01, 23:33

When you short, you sell borrowed shares at the current price. When the stock drops, you buy it back (cover) at the cheaper price, and keep Carlion Aug 02, 06:17

Here's another way to think of shorting and covering, instead of the borrowed-shares way it's done in the Real World ... Patient Player Aug 06, 13:04
