I'm not complaining, per se....

Just that it seems 'harder' (for me) now to make money. With the increase in shares (which I've always agreed with) if you own 100K shares, and a stock drops $1, then you lose $100K pretty quickly... multiply that by the tons of stocks the big ports own, and you can see how it adds up to losses quickly.

I'm only saying that it seems harder (again...for ME) to make as much $$ as I used to prior to many of the changes. I've been here since '98 as well... and yes... I remember Scapey the Goat, Saturday halts (which I like) and all the other 'problems' in those days.

The game has changed in ways that are very good... you can short not (couldn't then)..lots more securities to buy (remember music stocks?). So... for ME... maybe I have to re-think some of my trading style since the game continues to evolve??

For me, I sold off a lot of stocks in "developement" and that seems to have cut down on much of my losses... so perhaps it's just a "re-thinking" of how I play the game.

I still enjoy playing the openers, and I don't make many trades through the week, but it's still fun to see if I can pick an opener correctly.

The game had changed, and will continue to...so perhaps I just have to 'keep up?'

Guess *I* was voicing some frustration at some of my continual losses (I dropped over 20 spots in LTD before selling off many stocks)...rather than complaining.
