Can someone explain how a "limit order" works and how to correctly post a limit order.
This is what I am doing and it isnt working "correctly":
Buy "Stock A" as $50.00 for 1000 shares
Place a Limit to Sell "Stock A" if it hits $45.00 for the 1000 shares.
Toom many steps?

It wouldn't short it, you would have to later manually sell and then short the stock. Apr 02, 11:31
