When I was starting out as a noob, there was one piece of advice that stuck with me: "Play the players". Every day when I read these forums, I see posts of all manner; good review this, poor tracking that, etcetera, etcetera. I have learned quite a bit about this game the past 2 years that I've been playing regularly, and that includes knowing how a stock will move based on posts made to this board. If it's good news, buy, if it's bad news, short, and then check to make sure I can flip before the news changes.
The variety post by dmac is just another in the long line of posts that can make a stock move. (first let me say I missed playing troad and currently dont have it) I see nothing wrong with dmacs post. Surely someone else would have posted it if he hadnt. If you see a post, check your port and play the stock accordingly!
If the issue is that DMac posted it, giving it more weight, well tough. He is the boss sure, but he is also a player and regular commenter here, so he can post whatever he wants. I know there are a few players whose posts carry a lot of weight around here *cough H Moghul, cough Secretstalker* and I watch for their posts now, because they have both cost me a lot of money in the past ;) Well not anymore because I play the players, just like all of you do.
So what if dmacs post moved the stock a lot? Stock movement is good! Maybe some of you would just prefer to have stocks halted after ipo with no day trading whatsoever. That would be boring! Play the players, make some Hmoney and quit complaining!
