a search of the strangelove feature at st for review turns up several posts of reviews from thr and var as well as less known sites by several TOP players, some of whom cherry picked words from the review! reviews get posted all the time, and this is the first I remember anyone having a problem with it. Reviewing dmacs post, he could have avoided the obviously negative subject line, but to me it is news when a major publication reviews a film. not the biggest news to be sure, but it gives me a feel for what may come. he did at least start off the post with "variety review" which tells me its not news.
we trust variety as a source for news, thus i am willing to give weight to them for a review, as opposed to some newspaper we dont link to. most players know which sites to listen to: var, thr, etc, as opposed to something like jimbos film shack. if someone posts a review from some lame site, they should absolutely be shouted down and taught the error of their way
players are always going to jump at any post to make a Hbuck. the fact that this was a dmac post is irrelevant. i still say if some veteran would have posted it, the stock would have behaved the same way.
if there is one thing to fault dmac for, its continuing on the repeated negative posting between him and you, and you and ss.
