There was one particular instance, when the first reports of box office for the first Spiderman movie came out. Peter Bart, who had never read a Spiderman comic in his life, nor had he seen the movie, had it in his head that Spiderman had something to do with space travel, and he insisted that the title of the article be something like "Spiderman goes to the moon!" My friend was not a happy camper that day.
