Four Lions, Life of Brian (the former had me wanting to see the latter again), Chinatown, Bridesmaids
I can't rate the movies.
Four Lions I thought was pretty good; some parts quite funny, and black as can be. It's kind of more a tragedy with gallows humour than a comedy-comedy. Life of Brian of course remains a classic, and I'm sure Chris Morris had little screenings of it for himself before he went to work in the mornings.
Chinatown: I couldn't really see the point; it's a pretty good noir but it didn't really add anything to the genre that it didn't already have 30 years earlier ...
Bridesmaids I enjoyed but I didn't love wholeheartedly. The audience was very quiet and I don't think that helped. Nice to see female friendship portrayed, even broadly for laughs (and its the only movie I've seen this month that passes the Bechdel test).
