Well, in my opinion, Elizabeth Olsen transcends both. (Michelle Williams would probably be my second-choice.) But the Academy rarely awards

the Best... I think Davis has the slight edge right now, but a long time to go.

I'm actually more interested in the fifth slot nomination in the category. Davis, Streep, Williams, and Close are locks. Many say Swinton is the easy fifth, but I don't buy it. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN is far darker and even more obscure than JULIA (a better performance IMO) and the Academy gave JULIA no love. I think it could be Olsen, Theron, or even Dunst.

so it's a shame that Michelle Williams is going to have to go up against Streep for best actress. not having seen Iron Lady yet I can't say lobogotti Dec 31, 17:51
