I heard ASMAN was around $1 mil. thats the first I've seen the $2.7 mil. FWIW, we offered a lot more than what TWC paid for ASMAN (if thats Moviesnob Sep 21, 09:26

one thing all these TIFF sales in the crapper stories are neglecting. This year was a poor line-up, marketing wise. Last year was so much Moviesnob Sep 21, 09:28

It's weird you say that because at least two journalists have said that this year had more auteurs doing more mainstream work. {nm} secretstalker Sep 21, 13:01

Like Herzog? Bad Lieutenant wasn't available for sale and My Son My Son, is, well, bad. I didnt think Egoyan or Solondz's were more Moviesnob Sep 21, 13:37

I haven't seen either Egoyan or Solonz movies but I heard both were more accessible. Bad Lieutenant definitely was. {nm} secretstalker Sep 21, 13:41

agree...but IT WASNT FOR SALE so it doesnt apply to this conversation. {nm} Moviesnob Sep 21, 14:02

I'd be surprised if it makes that much money theatrically. This is a limited release G/L-arthouse film at best. {nm} secretstalker Sep 21, 10:48

TWC surprised many people with the big box office success of BSTRD, so maybe TWC can surprise us again with ASMAN? {nm} Peterlee Sep 21, 10:53

they're hoping to get Reader type mileage out of it {nm} Moviesnob Sep 21, 11:03

Hm... don't see it happening. It just doesn't have the same resonance. {nm} secretstalker Sep 21, 13:02
