Just throwing this out there (no inside info and I haven't seen any news to this effect, so don't do anything based on this), but I'm
wondering if perhaps it's some kind of sequel/set in the same world as the same characters kind of deal. Neither has any story details revealed, and they have the same director and at least three of the same stars, they're being cast at the same time, etc. I think it's probably just a coincidence, though. (and, like I said, certainly no one should trade based on that thought because it's just that, an idle thought).
