Arbitrage, which in real stock/commodity market means there's a discrepancy between inherent value of a stock versus what the stock is trading at. Sometimes this can happen when the stock/commodity trades on multiple markets. You will also hear the term BRA, which means a stock is trading higher than its gross. (BRA is ARB reversed)
When it is ARB, and the difference is higher than commission, you want to long the stock and if it is BRA, you want to short it.
