agree about the film not being wide release. as far as the movies, without trying to offend anyone...
an overpopulated theater, or even one at 3/4 capacity just isn't a fun experience anymore (at least for me). too many individual character issues within the crowd to deal with in that close of a setting.
hard to explain, but midnight premiers are usually just fine and they are sold out. but anymore go opening weekend on a friday, saturday night and you're going to ask for it.
sneak previews have become HORRIBLE. social media is able to get the word out so quick, so they are now always full around here and swarming with people wanting a free movie (many attend knowing they would NEVERpay to see said film).
this guy sitting two seats over from me (last night) had me out of a lot of the movie experience because he was just the most annoying person to sit next to. he had no business at the movies. had the movie not been so packed I would have moved, and if I were by myself I would have left had I no other option.
I can't wait to attend an Alamo event, but it seems I have to fly a ways out to do so! ;)
saw The To Do List tonight. tries to be the femaie version of Superbad. very raunchy and a lot of gross out comedy. Jul 23, 19:15
